Description
This homemade Argentinian sauce is the perfect complement to any cut of grilled beef, especially a strip loin steak. With the help of a food processor, you can have this easy Chimichurri sauce prepared in a flash!
Ingredients
1 cup (250 mL) fresh flat-leaf parsley, trimmed
1/2 cup (125 mL) fresh cilantro, trimmed
3–4 cloves garlic, cut into quarters
1/2 cup (125 mL) olive oil
2 tbsp (30 mL) white wine vinegar
1 tbsp (15 mL) fresh lemon juice
1 tsp (5 mL) dried oregano
1–2 tsp (5–10 mL) hot red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) each salt and pepper
Instructions
Place parsley, cilantro and garlic in food processor. Pulse until finely chopped. Remove to a medium bowl and add oil, vinegar, lemon juice, oregano, red pepper flakes (as per your spice level preference), salt and pepper. Mix until well combined. Serve immediately over your choice of grilled beef or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
